Sh'es REALLY GOOD!! I couldn't stop crying while listening her singing "I Dreamed a Dream"!!!! Have no words to describe how her performance moved me...

She's also a composer and her songs are beautiful! I watched her in a gig and... it was really amazing!!

I've you have any news or any videos or whatever about her, just let me/us know!!

I saw her last year in Over The Threshold, and though she was fantastic! Her comic timing was perfect, and her singing voice is just beautiful!

I saw her in the Les Mis tour as well, and thought she did an excellent job!
One of [if not the] best Fantines I've seen =)

Madalena is a FANTASTIC PERFORMER and we were privileged to have a song especially written for her by Ross Power in the last TIM WILLIAMS AWARD programme.  It was called SHE ABOVE and won the 2nd Tim Williams Award for Best Lyric inspired by a Classical Source for Fia Glahns.  The song concerned a widow whose husband was killed in Afghanistan.  She was in front of her husband's coffin at the funeral.  If you go onto the following link and scroll down you will find a link where you can hear this glorious artist sing it and see some lovely pictures of Madalena.  She is VERY special indeed.  Here's the link:

I will try to put a link directly to the song in for you:

Don't know if that will work.

While you are at it ... why not come to the next Tim Williams Award programme - 24 new songs with 24 West End singer performing ... on 20th June, 6.00 pm ... pay what you can ... best deal in town ...

Enjoy.

Madalena Alberto has released an album with her own songs entitled 'Foreign Sketches - Live Studio Recording'. It's simply brilliant. She has a beautiful voice and the songs are incredibly awesome.

You can listen and buy it on her official website http://www.madalenaalberto.com and on Dress Circle http://www.dresscirc... Sketches-37528

I am absolutely delighted to note that Madalena will again be joining us for the TIM WILLIAMS AWARDS this year at the Cochrane Theatre, Southampton Row, between 6 and 9 pm on Sunday, 26th June.  She will be singing two songs, one a duet with Shimi Goodman (currently in CHICAGO) in Russian and English based on a Pushkin poem entitled ONCE and another song, paegn to Sarah Palin - a REAL show number - SHOW ME.  Both are by the two time Tim Williams Award for Composition winning composer, Christopher Hamilton - who, of course, also wrote OVER THE THRESHOLD mentioned above.  We look forward to having you join us and you can find details on http://www.lswproduc...co.uk/voice.htm or via the WHEN YOU HEAR MY VOICE (that's the title of this year's programme) Facebook page.

That is what Mark Shenton from The Stage says about Madalena's work in JEKYLL AND HYDE

****
...but even more incredible is Madalena Alberto, a Portuguese born songbird who was Fantine in the 25th anniversary tour of Les Miserables that came to the Barbican. Her performance as Lucy here is one of the best sung in London at the moment. It’s the role that was originated by Wildhorn’s muse (and now former wife) Linda Eder, and Alberto is every bit her vocal equal.

She is superb in this. I didn't realise she was Fantine at the Barbican's Les Mis 25th until I read the programme on the way home. It must be a funny old life being a performer, the Union and the Landor get some really experienced cast members who one minute are on stage at the Barbican, Her Majesty's or Queen's next they're in a lttle room above a pub or in grubby railway arches. I''m so glad they do though, I know where I prefer to see musicals.
