We are looking for Duty Technicians to work with us during the Fringe Festival 2010. We're after committed, hard working staff to work in our closely knit production team in Edinburgh throughout August.
If you have a working knowledge of theatre lighting and sound, an awareness of public and workplace safety and can comfortably interact with theatre companies and members of the public, you're the kind of person we're looking for. You'll be working with our Senior Venue Technicians and Production Team to keep our ten theatres operational both technically and logistically, ensuring that we're keeping everyone safe and helping to make the festival an enjoyable experience for our visiting companies and audiences.
At the Fringe, the days can be long and tiring, and you may have to work during every day of the festival (though we do try to give our staff time off wherever we can). In return, we're sure you'll have an exciting and rewarding experience (and we'll pay you for it too!). We also like to make sure everyone has plenty of opportunity to enjoy the social side of the festival (we can occasionally be found after hours in some of Edinburgh's finest establishments...)
If you're interested, please apply and include your CV. Make sure you include any relevant theatre experience (including any amateur/voluntary work) and any experience you have of dealing with the public. If you have any relevant qualifications or training (e.g. first aid) this should be mentioned too! If you'd like more information, by all means get in touch - we can put you in contact with some of our existing team for an unbiased view!
