I tried to use the ignore function on another board but it's so frustrating because you still see that the person has posted and invariably someone else quotes them anyway.

And of course its still fun to see what people say.

Well Done Jan - who are these people who have invaded the board with their loved up nonsense

I know for a fact a lot of them are from the WWRY board which is mostly defunct now as most of them have grown up and got a life

I for one am VERY PLEASED to see Jan back on here and having her/his say

Oh for goodness' sake, what is your issue with the WWRY board and it's members? Have you been banned from there at some point or something like that? Noone's saying that everything here will always be sweetness and light, but neither does that mean you should be all bitter and twisted and spoil the mood within the first few days of the boards existance.
It's nice to be better, but it's better to be nice...

I assume most of those praising it are somehow involved with Whatsonstage.

Nah - we're just forward thinking and not against change when it's for the better  tongue.gif

Nothing against WWRY just the loonies that  live and breath it and stand outside the stage door for 8 hours at a time

WOS board is not like the WWRY board - hence the reason you can see its the same few posters on here at the moment

Ooh an anonymous poster, so confident of what they say that they won't even put their name to it.  Clever.

I'm a fan of the show yes...never witnessed these 8 hour stints that you speak of.

I like the board too - this is a great format.

I always used to enjoy reading the old discussion board but didn't like the way it often descended into abuse.  It still might have to happen that all posters will need to be registered (if guest posters try the usual practice of trying to sabotage discussions) but this is certainly a big step in the right direction.
