In reponse to the greenangel2k8's question, the current Phantom cast imho are one of the best of the past few years. I saw both Ramin and David and both are very good, and have slightly different interpretations. Rebecca Lock (Carlotta) is a particular stand out.

I would recommend people see it NOW, it really is the strongest cast its had in SOOOOOOOOOO many years. The only downside is Ramin is no longer Phantom, and I truely believe he is one of the best (if not THE best) London has had. But Gina and Simon are excellent and Rebecca Lock is an incredible Carlotta, ive never seen someone do so much with that part than she does.

"I've been asked to stay on at Phantom for a couple of months! Purely as cover for Phantom. So it's still bye-bye Buquet on 4 Sep!"
"A new Phantom will be joining the cast in November. I can't imagine who it might be!"

I am actually taking my Auntie for her first POTO as a treat so looking forward to it more.. I am confused though what does Gina mean by a mock up matinee? ) , will the new cast be secretly in there as swing members or something?
