I like the Adelphi's solution to the crowds of Lee Mead fans: have him meet them at the front of the theatre, leaving the stage door free for other employees and people meeting them.
I have always hated eggs. I remember back when I was a sperm I tried to head-butt one. It did not end well.

Well no, the hatch wasn't used, but I think that was because it was only me and two other people at the door.

No, they didn't. That's the made-up story quoted in the ES article in that link. There is no hatch.

Well, am247 seems to think there was - presumably someone else who's actually been to the Old Vic stage door for an autograph can confirm one way or the other?

Good heavens - what a remarkable collection of hats. smile.gif No hatch visible there then. But could those photos have been pre-hatch? I do remember someone, an actor who has appeared at the Vic, telling me a hatch had indeed been installed.

Ah, look what I found, from the same website that armadillo helpfully found. Seems that a hatch was put in after those photos were taken, armadillo. Quite a generous-looking hatch, but a hatch nonetheless.
