We enjoyed it very much, too. We were front row, and that raised stage does make a difference to what you can see, but you only really lose a few moments at the end. If you know the story you'll know what's happening, but Sweeney virgins will miss out, worth paying a bit more if it's your first time.

I thought the singing was rather good, and the main performances wonderful. Was especially impressed by Anthony, who can sometimes be a bit bland.

I was going to dayseat for this next week, but the words on here and on theatremonkey are starting to make me think twice...

We had seats on Row E in the gods for 37.50 and had an excellent view (I also had consulted Theatremonkey)

So we do we think the afterlife of this production could be then, after September? UK tour? Transfer to a different West End theatre (as Adelphi takes on The Bodyguard? It would be such a shame if it was never used again after September!

I've heard Broadway might be on the cards. But nothing further than that!

Saw this yesterday. Went in with pretty high expectations and it certainly did not disappoint! Having never seen the show (or even film) before, I wasn't sure what to expect, but absolutely loved everything about it and it is without a doubt one of the great musicals. Michael (unrecognisable) and Imelda were both fantastic. Already planning a return visit.

Also, I took a chance with a 25 dayseat. While the view was somewhat restricted, I went in expecting it to be so and therefore wasn't disappointed (if I had paid 65-70 for a seat in row B, I really would've been). It's hardly a dancing show, so it didn't matter about missing the feet of the actors.

Overall, one of my great couple of hours spent in theatre.

Dayseated today, A26 & 27, it was even better than Chichester, Imelda Staunton has to win every award going.

I went last Saturday matine, turned up exactly at 10 and got a seat, could choose between front row and rear stalls. But it was a two show day, so it don't know if you should turn up earlier another day. Think i counted roughly 18 people in the queue. Great show, you should look forward to it :-)
