Baz from the Daily Mail is reporting the casting for the leads. Full casting is to be revealed tomorrow:

Bonnie Langford - Roz (Office Manager)
Jackie Clune - Violet
Natalie Casey - Judy
Amy Lennox  - Doralee
Ben Richards - The Boss

Hmmm personally I think that's disappointing casting except Amy Lennox. Thought the cd was so so, may skip it

intrigued into see this and now even more so with the casting of Amy Lennox. may have to look into it nearer the time when it gets to Sunderland

Cast to me read as being all fairly good - Clune is a great actress (but I've never seen her in any of her MT roles so can't comment on her singing). The only one I've not seen on stage before is Langford.

I am now more tempted than I was before the casting was released to go along and see this.

Jackie Clune used to do an impressive cabaret act as 'The voice of Karen Carpenter' way back. I saw her a few times and thought she was great. Not sure what her 'normal' voice is like, but she really did sound a lot like Karen Carpenter (which is no bad thing in my book!)
