Has anyone done any of the theatre tours in London? I'm flying up to London tonight (from Canada) and will be seeing several plays/musicals Wednesday to Saturday. I was also hoping to take in a theatre tour. I've read that the National Theatre does a tour (and I'll be seeing the Man of Mode at the Olivier), as do the Prince of Wales and Prince Edward theatres. I've read conflicting info about the Theatre Royal Drury Lane, and am not sure if they still do tours, as well.

Has anybody been on any of these, or can they recommend any others?

I really enjoyed the National Theatre tour, and also The Globe theatre is geat fun - very enthusiastic tour guides with lots of stories to tell.

The Royal Opera House does a tour, but I haven't tried it yet.

Was taken on the Drury Lane one a few years ago and it was great, well worth doing. Must do the others at some point!

Not sure if Theatre Royal will be doing tours at the moment as they are replacing the stage to enable LotR to open in May.

Drury Lane tours are currently not happening due to reorganisation of the back-stage area for the staging of Lord of the Rings.

Les Mis tours are also available at the Queen's.
