I think Mormon would be much better suited to something like the savoy, The palace as we know is pretty awful in terms of sightlines.

Is it that certain that the Savoy will be available?  I haven't heard any rumours about Legally Blonde closing or moving....

Legally Blonde is still doing very well, it's not going anywhere anytime soon.

That's what I thought.  Hence why all the mentions of the Savoy were confusing me.  Fair enough mentioning theatres which are empty or it's known that they're soon to be vacated, but not ones with hugely successful shows currently running!

I didn;t say that LB was doing badly at the moment at all! However its going to be at least 2012 before we see Mormon over here, and who knows what the future holds! LB did take a dip when sheridon left and I amn;t saying its still dipping but its not doing as well as it was when she was involved.

Indeed, Summer 2012 is a LONG way away. Shows close all the time. The Piccadilly could also be free by then, we just don't know.

Indeed. I wish no show closure! however there is always a bit of fun speculating what could and might go where!

I don't know why, but my first thought of the 'other theatre' when reading the Daily Mail piece was the Palladium, what do you guys think??

Wouldn't be surprised in terms of availibility, but isn't it too big?

WOO running costs are high, but I don;t think its doing as badly as alot of people wish. Selling out no, empty mid-week? also no. I don't think WOO will live past the end of 2012, but it will almost certainly make its first birthday and probably close at the end of summer 2012. However I really think the Palladuim is to big for this show. Plus, the Palladuim does have the reputation for housing the big family musicals and I really think this is something ALW and RUG are quite certain about, so I doubt Bridget Jones will end up in the Palladuim! Jersey boys has gone quiet on the board and Betty Blue Eyes (as terrific as it is) is not doing great and can;t carry on the way its doing.

I'd put money on the Shaftesbury being available again this time next year.
