Ive just been told by someone that ALW personally sponsored Sam's place at Arts Ed. Is this true - can anyone confirm it? Is there any way we can check?

Proof? Or don't you need it, being obsessed and all. The person I was told by is at Arts Ed, and he said the rumour's been around there since the start (incidentally, he also said that Samantha doesn't have a huge amount of support within the school, but that's another story).

I am starting at Arts Ed in september in the 6th form i think sam will be the year above me. As for her being sponsored by ALW i dont know but the only reason i can think of the school not being 'supportive' is that it is not a stage school which they made clear at my audition so they are keen on people not working but focusing on the academic side of the school, aswell as keeping the balance with the performance side. It is a lovley school and has a great feel to it so i cant magine it being that unsuppportive. They have a bit in their news section sayign good luck to sam.

isn't ALW now patron/chairman/something similar of Arts Ed? so it's entirely possible that he was aware of her previously. i'm not sure i buy the whole 'sponsorship' thing though.

and as i understand it, the place is thrilled that she's doing so well.
whether or not it is clear to you,
