Sad news. I liked him very much in everything I saw him in, notably Love in a Cold Climate on tv and Prospero for the RSC a few years ago.

The Prospero he did, Nick Hytner directing, was one of the best I've ever seen.

If only he'd ever appeared in Chicago - perhaps then his passing might be worth a mention to forum members  :mellow: Perhaps this section of the forum should be renamed 'Musical Performers'  :blink:
