18 months is still a good run for a revival and I'm sure it'll tour in some form or another.

Where did you read this? I'm guessing if it does close, it'll be July 2013 (next cast change). But I'm still finding it surprising, because as far as I know, ticket sales have been extremely good and the show doesn't even do any discounts!
That's never been strictly true, the box office do discount on the day if you ask. But yes, I've never seen it do regular discounts.
I wouldn't be surprised if it closes some time this year, but I'm dubious about the Commitments - there's no way that will sell as well as Singin in the Rain. I'd be more inclined to believe a closure rumour if a different show was rumoured to be going in. But a rumour is all it is anyway without any verifiable sourced information.

This is my favourite show running at the moment, I do hope that it enjoys a few months more in town. It certainly puts a smile on face unlike many other shows when I visit.

I'd assumed it was having difficulties judging by the amount of discounted tickets I've been offered recently from various ticket agencies.

Is the next cast change due for July? That is strange timing if it closes in August...I guess how long it runs partly depends on what sort of a hit the cast starting in a few weeks make!

Assuming that's all true, chances are they'd just try to extend contracts by a month until closure. Anyone who can't they'll likely make do with constant use of swings.
