A hilarious and thought provoking snipe at the English middle class and the National Trust. It's a corker of a play, and it gets a production to match. Wonderful to see a play which is dominated by three elderly women, superbly played by Frances de la Tour, Linda Bassett (who is a joy to watch throughout) and Selina Cadell.

It's a somewhat lighter play than some of his other works, but it's still classic Bennett and in my view one of his most enjoyable. Looking forward to the press reviews.

ELDERLY? Be afraid young person. I can moderate you to within an inch of your theatrical leanings.

Nice to read good review though. I'm see it it soon so looking forward. Keep up the good work PN2

I suppose you mean 'senior by age female member of society'. How about 'sisters of Thora'?

If a newbie can intrude, I thought on the theatrical circuit one was either 'promising' or 'veteran' ... ;)
