I'm really surprised the NT don't keep them, as Im sure you used to be able to get them- I suspect it all changed when they stopped selling posters too. I know many West End theatres (the Wyndham's I know for certain) have a whole room just stuffed with multiple copies of unsold progarmmes from past productions. I'd recommend asking the theatres directly, but that's a bit difficult when in Canada! Maybe when you're next here.  For the muscals, I know the shop Dress Circle sell old programmes and (especially, though they may not be of as much interest to you) Souvenir Brochures. And what about leaflets/free cast lists? Any good?

You haven't listed it, but do you need the NT programme of London Road (2011, Cottesloe)? I've found that one for sale online.

Oh, and all the Royal Court ones are playtexts, so are for sale online (eg Amazon).

So did you never ever buy a programme to any show that you went to previously and have now decided that you do want them?  Or did you buy them and then get rid of them at some point.
If, for some strange reason you care what I've seen, it's all here:

Or are you a fledgling independent documentary film-maker with a typically bonkers and futile idea for your film, where the journey proves more interesting than the destination? I'm looking forward to the bit where you arrange a meeting with a nomadic opium trader in central Asia, who claims to have the only extant copy of the programme for Nanouk of the North as performed by the Melbourne Mummers in St. Trinian's Church Hall, Edinburgh on 16 August 2007, and you agree to the amputation of your left little finger, as a token of the significance to you of his memorabilia...

I suppose it's a really obvious question but wouldn't it have been easier to buy these when you saw the shows? When did you decide to start collecting?

I was wondering the same thing...

Thanks; I will definitely check the Wyndhams. As for the dress circle I have bought some souvenir brochures from them. I pretty well have all the free leaflets and some cast lists. Let me know if you have any of the programmes for sale on any of my 4 lists.  thanks.
