I rented the film after seeing the play and was very disappointed by the lack of scenes featuring Angelina Jolie covered in jelly

On reflection, I agree with Mallardo that the play's title implies that its main plot features a leading character who's in some sense a changeling, which isn't the case. The same issue arose last year with The City Madam: http://www.whatsonst...__1#entry188447

I wish the Young Vic would bring this back in a few months' time, perhaps to the Main House. I hope they retain the unreserved seating, to annoy Xanderl.

This is returning from 20th Nov - 15th Dec, in the main house this time but (annoyingly!) still with unreserved seating. Hope they are not generally reverting to unreserved seating for the main house!

I think the unreserved seating is because the seating plan for this is rather random, and therefore harder to allocate.

Is it really unreserved?  Any chance seats will be allocated later?  I don't think I would go back, but may change my mind closer to the time.  I never went to the Young Vic in the days of unallocated seating, it seems FAR too big for that to me.
If, for some strange reason you care what I've seen, it's all here:

It says  unreserved on the young vic website, doesn't seem to be left over text from the last run

Like you I can't be bothered if it's unreserved - the scrum was bad enough for the Maria!

Memories of wonderful unreserved seating:

1) Sarah Kane's premiere production of her own play Phaedra's Love at the Gate, Notting Hill. The instruction was to "sit on anything white"! The audience was dispersed throughout the whole theatre which was all part of the set and performance space, with surprise eruptions of set, action and audience.

2) Any promenade production.

3) Most weddings.

4) Standing gigs.

5) Dominic Cooke's production of Fireface, Upstairs at the Royal Court.

6) The original Bush Theatre.

I miss the unreserved seating at the Young Vic and for that matter at the Meiner, simply because until you see the set you don't know where to sit, after it works ok in Fringe Theatres.  But sadly it is much easier to get people to pay more money for a reserved seat than it is for a unreserved one.
