So one is "Our Country's Good". I predict the others will be Kneehigh's "Steptoe and Son", English Touring Theatre's "The Sacred Flame" and Shared Experience's "Mary Shelley"

I think it was intended to be an acerbic comment on a perceived programming policy. The perception has proved to be a misperception.

Have I turned into Statler and Waldorf?! - It’s not the most exciting of launches and seems pricey too. The price may be justified if they have amazing production values but in the meantime my wallet is staying shut and not one single moth will escape!

It does seem very expensive for a fringe venue. The Menier charges in a similar range but they've years of good reputation built up.

The Menier's cheaper I think.

I think this is a very interesting development for London theatre. However I'm also not overly excited about the line up of the first season.

I think the price is perhaps a bit too pricey, especially for their first season, they need to establish a solid reputation first I think, but they like us have bills to pay and it's not being subsidized so that probably explains the pricing.

I'll pop down to one of the productions this season as I want to see the new theatre, I wish it well as I believe there is a niche/need for this type of theatre in central London.

I'd heard a couple of complaints about the prices.  'Regional shows at West End prices' someone said to me.  But looking at the site, £30 for a proper purpose built - brand new theatre in zone 1 seems ok to me.  The Bush is at £24 these days.  I'd like to see the front row at £20 as that would be a little bonus for regular theatre folk.  But the line-up is a bit of a yawn.  The one suggested by xanderl would have been a lot more interesting.

N.B I note some shows are £35 which is pushing it.
If, for some strange reason you care what I've seen, it's all here:
