Congrats to Sir Kenny Branagh who has been knighted for services to Swedish crime drama and CGI Norse Mythology

And also to Sir Michael Boyd and Sir Richard Stilgoe among others

Kate Winslet CBE (actor) for serv Drama

Kwame Kwei-Armah OBE for serv Drama

Sir Richard Stilgoe for charitable serv (NOT Drama, Music, Broadcasting or Entertainment, etc!!)

Yes, wasn't Stilgoe so embarrassed by the huge amounts he made from his Lloyd Webber collaborations that he gave huge amounts of money away? Seem to remember an interview to that effect.

To me he'll always be the guy singing comic songs on "Nationwide". I saw him live once, he asked for suggestions from the audience and improvised a song about Sonia Lannaman racing with a chicken on the spot.

Mark Rylance willl get his post the Olympic Opening Ceremony.

Maybe SRB should organise a concert for the Queen. He'd be bound to get one then.
