Obviously there will be the Oompa Loompa songs

Apart from adding a few more, the songwriters are more or less re-writing the film songs (except perhaps Cheer up Charlie) because they do fit within the story.

Should have the "(I've got a) Golden Ticket"-esque song when Charlie discovers the ticket, instead of waiting until he gets back home

The three other children will be needing a song of their own

Arnt the oompa loompa songs in the books anyway?

I think 'I Want It Now' will be hard to beat for that character

There were only 5 songs in Leslie and Anthony's musical - and Charlie had no songs at all.  I think Marc and Scott's version will be good, but I wouldn't be surprised if we saw a back story probably focusing on Charlie's father, maybe?

To me, if they want to be as good as Matilda they do need to focus on Charlie. Roald Dahl is known for writing from the point of view of a child after all.

Willy Wonka should be left as the man of mystery. Stick to the original revelation and do not go too deep into his life like the last film did. Partly why I like the casting choice because at least they are not relying on a celebrity like Johnny Depp
