Yes, it could be, but equally it might not be. The same could be said of the vast majority of musicals ever to open in the West End, so speculation really is pointless.
Que sera sera, regardless of how much people speculate.

Its a new and expensive show and it'll be difficult to sell out at the Drury Lane for it to hit the heights of Lion King, Mamma Mia etc

The upside to not having a star will be that when that star leaves there wont be an automatic box office downtown, the show maybe the star. But for that to happen word of mouth and reviews will need to be strong. The spectacle will need to live up to the hype and expectation
Also i know the go to excuse for a show failing is blame marketing, but that isnt always the case. And the best marketing in the world cant always make a show a hit.
