Couldn't resist a £10 front row seat, very much approve of the pricing structure here.

I finally got to see this last night and I wasn't disappointed.

I loved pretty much everything about it (except perhaps Steve Toussaint).

Was out around 22:20...
VERY old fashioned production compared to the pretty wild Toneelgroep Amsterdam version I saw this year, but this one really hit home for me. Amazing acting, beautifully detailed.
Mate I was with couldn't stand it though and left at interval. Ibsen always gets under your skin. Don't go if you are too depressed lol.

Old fashioned? Not so sure. The set itself is something new - the complete doll's house with that extra activity dreamed up by the director for characters who should be off-stage.

Excuse me if I seem jejune
I promise I'll find my marbles soon.

Interesting fact, there isn't always enough time for the actress playing Nora to get to all the different parts of the set in those revolving scene changes so sometimes the actress playing the maid plays her from the back!

Well this was just brilliant. Morahan is excellent, but Dominic Rowan manages to hold his own against her - no mean feat. Struggling to sleep - so have written a review on my blog if anyone's interested: http://thegreatestof...eatre.html#more

Have just returned from seeing this stunning production which must easily be one of the best pieces of theatre I have seen this year (along with Curious Incident). Sat in the front row which is restricted due to the high stage but a bargain for £10. The revolving set is pretty spectacular even if it does make you dizzy at times! Loved the scene where Nora is playing hide and seek with her children. Hattie Morahan was amazing as Nora, I was gripped all the way through, what an incredible performance. Agree that the second act is slightly disappointing as the final showdown is over too quickly compared to the huge dramatic build up of tension in the first act. Still an excellent production. You must go and see it!!
