As much as I appreciate Kerry Ellis, she would be far too old for Sherrie, the "girl from the sticks" who's just arriving in LA to make it there. The role should go to a newcomer in the right age bracket.

I found "Rock of Ages" very entertaining in New York and I hope it will do well. Yea it's "another jukebox musical" but a very inspired and original one, not just old songs cobbled together like in MDQ.

Saw some of it on Broadway - so awful - walked out.  

Do not waste your money.

Been wanting to see this on my last couple of visits to NY, but not had the chance. Glad it's finally making it to London so I can finally see it. I've had the CD since it came out and I really like it. Sounds a lot of fun and very original.

I really hope Kerry Ellis isn't in it though. I thought she was great in We Will Rock You, but I haven't liked her in anything she's done since.
