I was at opening preview and the sound was all over the place. At times so loud that you couldn't hear the vocals at all, the mics weren't switched on a lot of the time or weren't working properly and there was a lot of very loud screechy feedback from the sound system.
I just couldn't really engage with this production.

Interesting. I noticed there seemed to be 3 people crammed in behind the small sound desk last night so maybe that's how they've conquered the problem. It was too quiet though especially during La Vie Boheme, you could barely make out anything.

Haven't seen it yet. BUT I'm not going to lie... I do have a bit of an issue with a producer casting herself in the leading role. :P

Have lost a bit of respect for her. She wasn't the right person for the part.

I love Tori, don't get me wrong. BUT this was my first thought when I saw the casting... but knew it was coming.

I thought the same. If it was proper casting she wouldn't have got the role- she just doesn't look the part of a struggling, starving girl!

AND similar casting during Tim's 'After The Turn' at the Courtyard. :/ Fairplay to her though.

She's got a good voice but not strong enough for out tonight. And being paired with the guy playing roger is hard cos his energy and strong vocals over shadow her i think

Think she's seen this as She just tweeted about it! Being an actor is about having the grace to accept your not always going to be everyone's cup of tea. You can't get angry at people for just not liking your performance.

I can't say anything about her performance because I haven't seen it. I was just passing comment on Casting. Am I entitled to an opinion? I'm hardly hiding behind a computer screen though... My details are below.

I personally think she is a great actress, and even if she isn't quite right for the part, she is comfortably a good enough actress for it to not be a disaster! (I can't say how good she is in it, but I'm seeing it next week and i can't wait) And if she is producing it, why shouldn't she give herself a role which she has dreamt of playing for years?
