Tech week starts Monday in Salford, opens the week after.  Some of the cast are performing You Can't Stop The Beat on This Morning on Monday

Saw this last night and, although I have never really been a huge fan of the show, I have to say that it was absolutely brilliant!! A top quality production, with great performances all round, a really incredible orchestra, and it is wonderful to see that the touring production hasn't cheapened at all!!

This was only the third performance of the tour, so if the production is in this condition at the start of the tour, then it has a great run ahead of it!!

Possible short run in westend if they can find a theatre after the tour :-)

After seeing this tonight, I'm wishing that the show was her for longer _ I could be in danger of becoming a Hairspray groupie. Pure unadulterated joy. Such energy and warmth, beautifly staged and choreographed and designed. What with Priscila on monay, two shows about men in frocks, and tolerance. Hairspray has the edge I think. It really does what it says on the aerosol can. Priscilla, away from the costumes, didn't quite have the visual wow factor, nor the overwhelming warmth, but still a great show. It did have more flesh though. It did have a slight feel of beign cut down for a tour, whereas Hairspray certainly didn't.
