I for one, absolutely love the cast recording, particularly the finale number: "Raise you up/Just be".

It's growing on me! You have to get past the awful accents and the dreadful opening number, then you can start to see how this show might be an entertaining night out at the theatre.

The recording is pretty cold and unforgiving too. I think the songs in a live situation would come across a lot better.

I think we'd be looking at the start of 2014 at the very earliest. Realistically later. No UK producer is tied to this show yet.

How long are we expecting the Commitments to stick around for? I think the show would be a good fit in The Palace! Where there once were stilettos for Priscilla, how about giant boots!?

DHL finally delivered the OBCR yesterday. I'm quite disappointed with the score as I think it's just mediocre. No track to skip instantly, but neither a stand-out number that made me Listen to it again and again.

The fake accents were quite strange - even for my German ears. Especially Annaleigh Ashford's accent was horrible.

Yes it is very mediocre. I saw it in NY and despite the high camp appeal it just did not quite deliver on stage and got very tedious very quickly. But it does have some charming songs
