She hasn't done anything with that many big songs, but from Les Mis the film I should think she could now act it. There's a recent youtube of her singing part of somebody to love and she sounds as if she could sing Elphaba to effect too.
On the other hand, there's a lot of very strong recent Scaramouche's who could also sing it brilliantly and have been doing it 7 or 8 shows a week. I would pay more than once for Sabrina, Amanda or Lauren.
Just so long as they don't follow the bizarre recent trend of unnecessarily flying in people from the US, Australia or Europe to sing roles that domestic actors could play as well or better. .

I doubt the two leads will be names, but Fiyero, Morrible or the Wizard wouldn't surprise me, someone who they can put out on the chat show/daytime tv circuit as a bit of promotion.

Do you think Louise will stay on another year? Every elphaba goes through a tough few months at the start of their contracts right?

It would make sense for her to get an American agent as well at this point if she really is planning on combining film and theatre. She's rumoured for Walking on Sunshine, the new musical film Kylie's starring in that's supposed to be out next year which has an 80s soundtrack. She wouldn't have to do all the Wicked tour anyway, I wouldn't be too surprised if they ended up doing what Oliver's done with the role of Fagin (and what the Spamalot tour did all the time) and have different principals at different venues, each doing a few venues then going off to do something else.
