Have to disagree about the Hairspray comment, I actually think Memphis is the all round better musical.

I really hope it comes to London. Only watched the filmed version for the first time about a month ago and now on about my 6th viewing. It's an incredible musical. Wonderful songs - Change Don't Come Easy, The Music of My Soul and Be Black to name a few. Wonderful dancing. Funny and emotional. Huey is such a fantastic character for the stage.

Think its going to the Shaftesbury after The Pajama Game, it'll be interesting how it fares.

Memphis is amazing show, watched the DVD and I loved it. Thrilled they are casting for London, it will be a massive hit in the West End. Shaftesbury is the perfect theatre for it! Memphis is very much like Hairspray, but has more background on segregation.

I think Cynthia Eviro would make an amazing Felicia, she's got the voice and emotion!
