So, now that Shrek is closing at Drury Lane making way for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory has anyone got any heads up what's going into the Palladium after Scrooge?
There's going to be quite a few big shows opening next year with Charlie, Mormon, etc.
I'm very intrigued.
What Goes Into Palladium Now?

The problem is the Palladium is a large house, and needs a big show, not something that can be knocked up in a couple of months.
If the JCS set can be adapted to fit it might work, but only a short run (as most people wanting to see it will have), and they'd have to recast some big roles, as I doubt they will be free at reasonably short notice.
If nothing can be rustled up, I can see the Oliver! tour coming in when it ends in March . I know it hasn't been away long, but putting Sam Barks as a "movie star" in the publicity would no doubt give it a boost.. Maybe a 6 month run followed by whatever Chichester does next year, or Newsies if they really are looking for a house over here.

Really? JCS is doing quite a long arena tour in big venues.

I've heard the set for Finding Neverland is pretty massive. Would that do a short run?
Interesting about Oliver... I think also if they found a good Fagin, then yes.

The thing I find odd about finding never land is the curve isn't that big so how can the set be so huge it needs one of the west ends biggest houses. I also think without a star name it would die there.
I'm not aware of anything lined up other than the rumoured transfer into town of jcs which would fit. Or they will just have a series of variety type filler shows.
It could also be the opportunity for a big show to swoop in that hadn't initially thought it could find a theatre, eg a broadway transfer

Whatever it is, we probably won't wait too long to find out. Shows at the palladium tend to put tickets on sale quite far in advance due to the massive capacity.
I've read so many things - Finding Neverland seems the most likely but there was also talk of 42nd Street.

The 42nd street tour is not west end standard so I hope not that

It wouldn't be the tour. It would be a regional transfer that happened recently (was it Leicester?)
