A show for the girls? Meaning?

Just a romantic show that appeals to women - like romcom films.

Can someone tell me the running time of the show please? Trying to work out if it's possible to rush over to the Mormon lottery after the 3pm mat.

According to ATG's site, it's 2 hours 25 minutes, including the interval.

LOL - well straight men aren't interested in musical theatre at all generally ( and of course I am generalising anyway). I suppose Book of Mormon would appeal to men as well as the girls. A show that they don't have to be dragged along to by their wives and girlfriends like Ghost or Dirty Dancing. But shows that appeal to women are very successful as generally women buy the tickets. Watch how successful The Full Monty will be when it opens!

Strange there's no understudy for Guy listed in the programme. There must be one, who is it?

Just back from tonight's performance. What a beautiful piece of theatre. I adored it. It's very simple, no big sets or fancy costumes. It concentrates in the characters and the music and I think that's what makes it so wonderful. And the cast is great - special mention for Declan Bennett who I think is absolutely brilliant as Guy.
