Oh damn i thought he was pretty bad in Soho Cinders, is his role a big one?

Jos Slovick was only in the concert version of Soho Cinders, and on the album.  In the run at Soho Theatre the part was played by someone else (who was indeed 'pretty bad').

Yes - love front row days seats for musicals at £25 (although Wicked is/has gone up I think). I love being up close and personal! I am afraid I take great pleasure in knowing what I have paid compared to the people just behind me that have paid £60 plus for a ticket! But as another poster said I just could not afford to go if I paid full prices.

Saw the final preview last night - was so impressed by it. Beautiful staging, beautiful music. The two leads are just brilliant, both deserve awards when they come round next year. They sing beautifully, but most importantly their characters are so believable. Never seen such subtle acting in a musical in a 1,000 seat theatre! Very classy.I loved Book of Mormon, but really think this show is in another league - this is by far the more innovative show in terms of taking musical theatre into a different area/style. I really hope the critics embrace it. If there's any justice this will be a massive success. Go see.

Programme nice... 6 though.

Theatremonkey's review has this comment which I think sums this up - "Everybody thinks “The Book of Mormon” is THE West End show of 2013. They are wrong, it is “Once.”"  http://www.theatremonkey.com/PHOENIXbooking.htm

Amazing. And I also agree, I just hope it finds an audience. Coveney's review on here notes it has a running time of 2 hours 45 minutes. When I saw it, it was 2 hours 30 minutes. Is he including the pre-show onstage singsong, or did they have a REALLY slow night last night? Anyone know?

When I saw it on Broadway it was about 2 hours 40 including pre-show onstage session.

And I also agree with all of Theatremonkey's review

4*, entirely positive review from the Guardian: http://www.guardian....hael-billington

4.5* review from Londontheatre.co.uk: http://www.londonthe...eviews/once.htm

4* review from the Evening Standard: http://www.standard....ew-8566763.html

And 4* as well from the Times: http://www.thetimes....icle3735575.ece

WOS 4*: http://www.whatsonst...44062/Once.html

Even Charles Spencer liked it a bit (Telegraph 3*): http://www.telegraph...tre-review.html

Almost universally positive reviews, with a few issues regarding choreography and length that I would generally agree with.  Don't think it detracts from the simple beauty of the show at all though.

Apologies if this has already been covered, but how many day seats is it per person?

As good as the reviews are they arent raves and i wonder if this will get lost in the mormon and likely forthcoming charlie hype. Personally i think they maybe chose the wrong time to open. Fingers crossed they find an audience. Lower running costs than many musicals may help them
