Think it'll be out by march

Hopefully that's the case, it'd had a tremedous run but hopefully we can the Lyric to show plays rather than musicals.

Or musicals, rather than "whatever-the-hell-thriller-is".

Any word on the cast or who will be casting director for this?

Personally, I would love it if they went for a genuine Irish singer/songwriter type like Glen Hansard in the film. It would feel that more genuine which is what a show like this needs.

I wouldn't be concerned with whether or not he's genuinely Irish, but that aside there are a number of West End performers who'd fit Hansard's type, I think...

Absolutely!! I can even think of a few Irish West End actors who might be a good fit, but that's not to say they need to be Irish natives. Steve Kazee is a perfect example.

I guess what I mean by "Irish singer sonwriter type" is there are two essential things to look for:
1) a convincing accent (not the streotypical Irish accent...that would be a disaster!!)
2) people who are comfortable with their instruments and the music (not somebody who learned how to play this type of music for the role...you can see it a mile off)

I'm so excited about ONCE coming to London!!!  I think Madalena Alberto will be perfect as the Girl, she can play the piano too, so, can't think of a better actress to play that part! :)))

True - Thriller is hardly a musical in any stretch of the imagination.

Oh yes!!! I'd also love that Madalena Alberto could star in Once in the West End! She is perfect for this role!! Love her voice and her acting!
