You do know that you can send them back for credit up to 2 days before performance...no questions asked? They just charge you £2 a ticket admin. This in one reason why I love the National.....Just phone them up, tell them and they will ask you to post the tickets to them.

"6.2 Tickets may be exchanged for later performances or credit vouchers provided that the Theatre receives the tickets at least 24 hours before the performance (7 days for group bookings) is due to take place. An additional per ticket handling charge will be payable by you for this service see Ticket Information for details and cost."

Obviously not a problem is someone wants the tickets...just thought I should point out!

Yes, just exchange them for another date, I'm sure there are seats available at all prices for all dates of this one so re-booking should be no problem. Though I have tickets these Spanish Golden Age pieces are often dire in the extreme.

Thanks. I knew I could exchange them but haven't got another date. I'll give em a shout to send back unless anyone wants.

Anyone seen it yet ? A worrying one-star review over in the Reviews section already.

Seeing it Saturday.

But if you read that review, it's not a total pan. It reads more like a 2 or 3*

I just saw it tonight. It's *awful*. Actually *hilariously* bad.
Real car crash theatre - a fair number of people left in the interval, but you couldn't have dragged me away, I was so morbidly fascinated by the awfulness of it.

A few things - such as the slow and awkward scene changes, and the unfortunately funny noises some of the props made - might improve with practice. But really the basic premise just does not work, the costuming choices are bizarre, and Bertie Carvel is woefully miscast.
