Sebastian Born ? Never heard of him. I've heard of Ben Power but he isn't a director.

Bijan Sheibani doesn't have an impressive track record so how he gets to rank alongside Howard Davies or Marianne Elliott I don't know, but I suppose he fits right into the public school/Oxbridge coterie who tend to get the top directing jobs in London.

Never heard of Mr Born either.

Sheibani (from his Wiki entry): Sheibani was born in Liverpool, and raised in Brighton and was schooled at Brighton College. He studied English Literature at St Hugh's College, Oxford, and holds an MA in advanced theatre practice from the Central School of Speech and Drama.

Ok, so I have read his instructions. He has a very responsible job. Now who does it at The Royal Court? I'm just asking because they seem to have made a better job of choosing contemporary drama over the last decade.

Reading that Time Out article makes me think they are cutting things out (I never saw any fake body being dragged out and beaten) so are aware of faults. I wish they would just cut the whole play.

It does seem the National Theatre need a dud a year (Greenland, Fram, Damned by Despair) is it for tax reasons?

I cannot wait for the press night reviews on Thursday!
