I wasn't born in the 80's so would love the chance to see these great musicals  on stage!

Which I can fully understand.  My nervousness is these will just b carbon copies of past production and just clog up the west end. It's like how lots of bands in the last 10 years have reformed and everyone just goes and sees them as a curiousity/ nostalgia and then new bands r neglected.

I have no problem with Miss Saigon being revived I just hope this wont set a trend. I also hope they try something new and daring with it. Maybe have everyone on rollerskates?!

i dont think the mega musicals really went away. two are still running, cats is touring again as it has done every few years, starlight has toured a few times and is highly unlikely to ever get its original staging again. miss saigon has had three tours. evita and jcs pop up every few years (evita is constantly on tour and the west end revival flopped)

the one that id love back and i think deserves a big revival is sunset blvd

The mega musicals were mainly a alw/b&s thing

id quite like a darker grittier Saigon but i suspect the production will be a varient on previous productions

Seconded

Agreed, I'd love to see this one.
If I stay awake, it must be good.

They should pick a theatre and have them all play there for 1 year each thus helping the young, curious and fans but freeing up the rest of the west end for exciting new musicals

I completely agree - using the same group of actors, there's no reason why they couldn't do 4 musicals a year.
If I stay awake, it must be good.
