Really???? Personally thought it was very standard. Amazing how people can have differing opinions. thought Nancy was one of the weaker Eponines and this recording makes me think no differently. She's still young enough to develop her voice further but based on this she'd be lucky to get second cover Ellen!

She'd act the hell out of the part.

This sounds like the average freshman student of the theatre studies.

I wonder, is there any news about the recent London audtions yet?

The original 'Now That I've Seen Her', called 'Who Says I'm Hurt', from the first London preview. Such beautiful lyrics, so sad the song has been cut.

I would love to see Alice Fearn as Ellen, with Gary Watson as Chris.

Gary Watson?

He is currently playing Don and Understudy Zach in A Chorus Line, but has previously been Marius in Les Mis, Sky in Mamma Mia, Rudolpho in Matilda and Rum Tum Tugger in Cats.

Er, they should TOTALY do this in the round! The helicopter should be made out of tens of thousands of trained butterflies! A hologram(drunk) Oliver Reed should play The Engineer! Shirley Bassey is an obvious Kim! Overtly effeminate Will Young should play Thuy, Danny DeVito as Tam.
Everytime a cliched oriental cymbal/flute is crashed/blown audience members should  be encouraged to sponser a real Vietnamese child (could we not have the sponsored up during Bui Doi? I feel it's important to give the audience worth during the start of the second act).

More than anything I think it's uber important that all Vietnamese characters be played by the Welsh - let's face it Vietnam don't come from a musical theatre background and are just not yellow enough. The Welsh have strong voices and we can always colour them in
