Yes the curse of the Shaftesbury but Hairspray had a decent run so success is possible - LOL.

Yes absolutely - a stinker of a show cannot blame the theatre it is in! Lets hope FHTE is a fabulous show too.

Does anyone know anything about this show?  Haven't heard much but they've had some rehearsal blogs appear on youtube in the past few weeks - theres one about boxing here:

it looks like the cast must be pretty fit!  Do they have discounted preview prices?

There's a topic on it here that had disappeared down the board:  http://forum.whatson...atre-sept-2013/    I only realised this was opening fairly soon today when looking for shows for the end of October, looks interesting.

They've already got the outside of the Shaftesbury done up with the signage.

I'll admit that the show doesnt yet appeal to me but I wish them luck.
Which way did he go McGill?

This show is not exciting me either at the moment. I dont think I ever saw the film and not something that I would book in advance. But I reserve judgement and will wait to hear what forum members report back from previews.
I do wish it luck as its great to have an original new musical coming to the west end which does not happen a lot these days.

The choreography looks very promising, the boxing video is great (that is no easy task what they are doing). The male ensemble look very fit (in every meaning of the word).

However the two leads dont esxcite me and the music from what ive heard seems a bit meh.

I will see it if on offer though

I saw a short excerpt on "Breakfast"  yesterday morning, and I hadn't realised that Tim Rice was involved.
It showed the rehearsals for the boxing set and I was quite impressed with the tightness of the choreography.

The stripped down boxing boys also helped!!
