Wednesday 21 - Saturday 24 November
Ashcroft Theatre, Fairfield Halls, Park Lane, Croydon, CR9 1DG

LONG LIVE THE MAD PARADE is a new comic fantasy, a dark satire about an ungrateful society and its failure to engage with its chosen and apparently much loved institutions.  How does a Monarch feel when an apathetic public is so clearly unworthy of the service she gives them?

For sixty glorious years she’s sat on the throne regaled by the odd jubilee, rocked by the occasional scandal, ruling over a changing nation with the grace and dignity for which she’s adored.  But when the Monarch decides she’s had enough, how far would you go to save the Queen?

From the pen of acclaimed writer David Spicer this new comedy, comes out of the Fairfield Halls’ Freshly Fired season of new playwriting, making its World Première at the Ashcroft Theatre, Fairfield Halls Wednesday 21st - Saturday 24th November.

Julien Ball, Jeremy Clyde, Johanne Murdock, Fred Perry and Beatrice Rose star in this wickedly satirical new play about a disillusioned head of state, a royal minister who’s out of his depth and a humble chambermaid who witnesses everything…in between changing the sheets.

Performances of LONG LIVE THE MAD PARADE are at 7.45pm nightly with matinees on Thursday & Saturday at 2.30pm.

Tickets are available from the Fairfield Halls Box Office 020 8688 9291 or online at www.fairfield.co.uk priced £10 Wednesday evening, all other performances £18, concessions £14. No booking fees!
