Chichesters Big Musical For 2013?

ive heard rumours Barnam (that was expected to be the big musical) is no longer happening. anyone heard anything? with the main house closed next year and a temporary building going up i wonder what they will go for.

Gypsy (Dir. J Kent, w/Imelda Staunton) and The Pajama Game (Dir. R Eyre), I think.

Interesting about Barnum, isn't that meant to be a co-production with Cameron Mackintosh?

that was the rumour. perhaps they couldnt secure a big star, which withoutthe show wouldnt last

I think they can wait longer as I imagine Cameron Mackintosh will want to focus on Miss Saigon first before Barnum but they must be having trouble finding a name to do the role.

Wouldn't it be good if one of the Two Musicals were a new british premiere? Especially with all the recent rumblings about the original british musical dying out.
