Along with the Tobacco Factory "Two Gentlemen of Verona" which really is a great Shakespeare rarity there is the almost equally rare "Titus Andronicus" at the Swan - you could esily wait another decade before seeing these two again I am most looking forward to the Howard Davies NT Gorky.

Have also realised how booked up I am already!

59 shows going from Jan onwards and don't have any free 'slots' until after mid-March!

Having said that, I think the reason is that many of the theatres I go to (Barbican, Almeida, NT, Donmar, Hampstead, Sadlers Wells, RC, YV, etc.) have already announced their seasons until at least April
(and quite a few are booking for shows well past June, for example Richmond has booking right into the summer)

I also don't think there will be that many new shows announced during the next few months...I know the NT has their next booking period opening in Feb...

'Of things I've booked for 2013, I'm particularly looking forward to -

'Playing Cards I - Spades' (Lepage at the Roundhouse)
'Port' (NT)
'Once' (Phoenix)
'The Salon Project' (Barbican)
'Above the Wide Blue Sky' (Fevered Sleep at the Young Vic)
'In the Beginning was the 'End' (dreamthinkspeak at Somerset House)

I hope to be pleasantly surprised by -
'Trelawney of the Wells' (Donmar)
'Ubu Roi' (Cheek by Jowl - Barbican)
'No Quarter' (Royal Court)

Just glad to see it at last, not bothered about what it's like -
'Quasimodo' (Lionel Bart premiere at the King's Head)

I am going to all the above shows too!!

Which date have you booked for Salon Project??

I think that The Railway Children at the Charles Cryer Theatre in Carshalton, South London will be well worth seeing at the end of October 2013, because it's being directed by... me.
Me is directing again - Private Peaceful at the Charles Cryer Theatre, Carshalton, 23 to 26 April 2014.
