This is old news.  It is even on the CFT website

Well no it's not on the cft website! The 2013 season is not announced until Feb - so Barnum has not been officially confirmed although the "tent" has!

ok the actors name is a triple barrelled name and the theatre is one of the smaller theatres with a capacity of around 1,000 seats ;-)

Triple Barrelled you say? American actor you say? I'm both vexed and compelled by these hints...

Brian D'Arcy James?
Norbert Leo Butz?
John Benjamin Hickey?

Nope, strike that last one, that's definitely not right....

Does this throw Neil Patrick-Harris back in the ring? I know it's not but I'd love it to be Phillip Seymour-Hoffman!

And are they double barrelled rather than triple? Cos I can't think of anyone with three surnames

I assumed Barnum would go into a bigger theatre, most of the 1000+ seaters are already booked for the year.
