The first preview, which was supposed to be tonight, has been cancelled.

Not ready, or a broken drum revolve?

Npt a great start! There are some offers around for this one.

I haven't booked for this yet after the recent run of turkeys at the National.

I'm seeing it in March. when hopefully they'll have got their act together. Some good people in this one: Nick Sampson, Olivia Poulet, Alan David. Plus Sir Sher, though I've yet to be wowed by him.

Strange. Adrian Noble is a very good director but his RSC departure was so shambolic and acrimonious that this production is a chance for him to rehabilitate his reputation - if he blows this one there will be plenty ready to criticise. The play itself is fine, it gets produced now and again.

I just thought flu season had hit the cast. Would it be a major crime to not open a preview if Sir Tony was ill?

I've only seen Sher in Travelling Light so this may be his final chance to redeem himself for me(What can I say I don't forgive easily)

The notice at the NT last night said the preview was cancelled for technical reasons. Sorry to introduce a fact into this thread.

Every single post prior to this one contains facts, but as this is a discussion board (the clue is in the title) some of those facts involve people expressing their opinion. For example, it is a fact that I think Noble has one chance to make this work. Also, as an old cynic, I always find it amusing that you feel by copying some stuff off a website that that should put an end to all discussions. It is a fact, yes, that that is what the NT website says, but that still leaves open many issues worthy of discussion.
