...although Kyle Scatliffe (Haywood Patterson) is to be Enjolras in the Broadway production of Les Mis, so he's out.

God

People don't learn their lessons do they

Thick producers time and time again

They should go the whole hog

And transfer into the Palladium when I Can't Sing closes

This will BOMB in the West End

If they had sense

They would bring it back to the Young Vic

Where it would be cheaper to run
Cheaper ticket prices
Avoiding TKTS
And nasty tacky discounts

Instead they are transferring it

After it flopped on Broadway

And bringing back

Happy Days to the YV

It all makes so much sense

Yes, I don't see it being successful in a large house. But at least I will get a chance to see this as I missed out on tickets at the YV.

They're pushing a £39.50 priority booking offer - guess they're not going down the cheap tickets route

I'd really like to see this so I'm pleased it's transferring, although I can see why it perhaps wouldn't appeal to the masses. A bit of a gamble maybe, but an Olivier would be a big selling point...

Oliviers give a small boost but nothing like the Tonys do on Broadway. Really feel this will struggle.
2014 Shows: Lion King (Edinburgh), War Horse (Edinburgh), Private Lives (Edinburgh), Singin In The Rain (Edinburgh), From Here to Eternity (West End), The Commitments (West End), The Duck House (West End), The Bodyguard (West End), Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (West End), I Cant Sing (West End) and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (West End).

I say it will be a big fat hit.  Everyone likes a miscarriage of justice overthrown. And the British r, instinctively racist so the minstrel bit should work well

Glad it has transferred but sadly I think it will struggle in the WE. Hope I'm proved wrong.
