Ive never understood the whole support a show because its British. If it doesnt hold any appeal, sounds bad etc then why spend your money on it just because its British. And I wouldnt say this is especially original using an international reality TV show and a concept used in previous stage and TV shows.  Personally I dont care what nationality the show is (same with the cast) as long as it/they is good.

I've said the same myself in the past (about Loserville for one) but a lot of people on here bang on about a lack of new British shows then when one comes along it's written off a year before it opens.

Steve, it's being written off so quickly by people because the plot sounds cheesy and lacking in creativity and is based on a failing TV show. It's understandable.

People want to see good quality, long-running British shows, not another car crash production that will probably end up on the theatre scrap heap with Viva Forever. I just don't see it lasting.

Just didn't realise it was so easy to predict a shows quality or success.  Oh well.

Don't get me wrong, I can see your point. In a sense, yes it is perhaps wrong to be so judgemental about a show before it opens. After all, we don't know what the musical numbers will be like. Who knows? Maybe it'll be a pleasant surprise to all of us.

I hated the title but maybe it's going to prove to be rather inspired.

Still not very excited about it.. And in one of our prime theatres.
