Does anyone remember seeing this play in the West end about eleven or so years. Ive just read it for the fourth time and love it, (i's shocking, exciting and a good detective story) but there are some bits I don't quite get, mainly the almost silent husband of the Blonde. Did it work well in london?

I saw it during the original run at the Royal Court. I remember thinking it was quite slight but enjoying it and there were some funny moments. The late William Hootkins was a very good Hitchcock as I recall.

I'd guess that what most people recall is Rosamund Pike 's extended nude scene.
Excuse me if I seem jejune
I promise I'll find my marbles soon.

I recall the fuss about the nude scene, more than the nudity itself.

I see it is currently being revived again out in the provinces (Hull Truck ?) - any play with a nude scene in it is guaranteed an extended life (Equus, Steaming, Calendar Girls etc.)

I'm not sure any play with nudity is guaranteed that! But it does seem to happen - you could have included The Blue Room too.

I shan't deny, Pike's nude scene was memorable, and indeed extended.
