Full house (340) at work tonight and they seemed to love it. We are showing the recording again in a couple of weeks and only have about thirty seats left. I watched it and thought it was great. Interval stuff was interesting too.

Any thoughts on Emma Freud, who introduces the NT Live Broadcasts.

My mum thinks that she is a bit over the top, though it does not really bother me much.

However we thought that her interview with the playwright, Peter Morgan, was the low point of The Audience broadcast. She kept asking him again and again where he got his information from when he had already said that it was all imaginary. Even Peter looked like he did want to be there after a while. When she asked whether any of the prime ministers have seen the play he retorted that there are only a few left.

Our audience were talking so much we could hardly hear the interview!

Enjoyed The Audience as a play but why do an interval feature about the on-stage costume changes and then not show them? !! A friend said that they were the best bits.
