Adam Garcia? What a joke! He was awful.

I trust Imeldas name is already engraved in her award....

Disagree, Adam was great.  That said I wouldnt have said it was an award worthy performance, but it was a weak musical year.   Certainly better than Debbie Kurup in Bodyguard

Sadly I think Michael Balls over praised Sweeney will win Best Actor

He can't act... Or sing.... ?

Not sure how that equates to great in a musical. Still...

That would be a huge shame, I thought he was awful.  Wouldn't mind Imelda beating Heather Headley to Best Actress though - she was the only good thing about that Sweeney Todd.  I hope A Chorus Line wins Best Revival.

Audience award will surely go to Matilda this year...

I’m really pleased for Luke Treadway as he was excellent. But really surprised Curious is up for a choreography award … I’m one of the few people who wasn’t blown away by the production as I don’t think it gained anything in its transition from going page to stage

But hurrah to Streetcar Named Desire, Einstein on the Beach and Traviata

Broadway has been very good to me. But then, I've been very good to broadway.

I'll have to disagree. I thought Michael Ball was amazing and he deserves the award in my opinion.

More so, if anything. But who knows? Phantom or Wicked could just as easily win.

Michael Ball will win... He has no serious competition at all.
Imelda would win whoever she was up against..

The nominations were read out live on Radio 2 by someone called Ruth Wilson who had invented a new original pronunciation for every non-English word. Three or four Top Hat fans had apparently broken into the room as there were little claps and cheers at each mention of Top Hat, but otherwise silence. Elaine Paige topped and tailed the announcement and mercifully spared us from her usual fake laugh. I expect it's available on i-player for a week.
