It's Julia McKenzie.

Who impersonated the Queen as her double in the helicopter for the Olympics thing! (not the one doing the skydiving)

But if you did see it, it's quite nice to relive it.

It's inevitable though. You can't have an annual awards without having nominated shows which are already closed.

True,  but it reminds people that  the good stuff had short runs,  and much  of the dull and inexcrable,   goes on, and on.

Its a learning process this show. Michael Zavier was in Legally Blonde according to Ken??? Did I miss him?

Not sure either if the   cockney accent  according to Michael Ball,  was worse than the version of a "northern" accent in Billy Elliot - I think Ball wins. Sheridan, however, seems to be floating effortlessly between accents..... auditioning for even more roles.

No, Michael Xavier wasn't in Blonde. I think he meant he did the workshop for Bridget Jones (alongside Sheridan Smith).

Neither did Cush Jumbo play Julius Caesar at the Donmar (she was Mark Anthony), as Libby Purves said.

Really?
and Julie McKenzie unsurprisingly always sounds like that, only of course it's a little clipped as it's an annoucement

Love that an award goes to same actress, same part. Enough already.

Sheridan Smith at the beginning was awful. And was she miming?

Why is it so clunky? Amateur. O well. Let's just be grateful for the products.

It seems horribly exposing of Sheridan. I'd rather Hugh was presenting with Imelda Staunton or Julia McKenzie or someone with class.

I love Sheridan but she's struggling here, think a solo presenter would have been fine, maybe they should ask Neil Patrick Harris to host it next year?

With a specially commissioned opening number- always the highlight of the Tonys.
