Saw this advertised in one of the NT programmes yesterday. At the Park Theatre- a brand new venue in Finsbury Park. I'd heard of it, but hadn't a clue that they'd announced their first season etc.

Anyway, one of the shows is a new play by the actor Oliver Cotton (currently in Passion Play) dir by David Grindley, starring Maureen Lipman. Am tempted to book for this on the basis of how much I enjoyed Old Money at the Hampstead earlier this year. Top price is £22.50. The seating plan looks like a replica of the Donmar.

Booked for the very reason you mention...she was very good in Old Money! Going 13th July matinee. Looking forward to seeing the new venue!

Yes new venue sounds v good. They have a supporters' scheme up and running and reply nicely to qs. Best of all a strong first season. All good.

This doesn't appear to be selling well. Just looked at the first Saturday matinee and not a single seat in the circle has been sold, and the stalls are no more than half full.

Many Finsbury Park residents this coming Saturday afternoon will either be off to Hyde Park for the Rolling Stones or fasting for Ramadan.

We will have to clap loudly Latecomer, oh dear, that said there was quite a lot of space when we went to Chimerica in previews and it's done ok so hopefully it'll pick up.
