Somehow I cannot see the Scientologists being as forgiving as the Mormons have been.

The problem is that it'll be compared to Mormon, they need to do something different to differentiate it and history has shown that the follow up tends not to be as successful.

It will be nothing like Mormon - it will be dark.  Scientologists are not cute well-meaning people.
Excuse me if I seem jejune
I promise I'll find my marbles soon.

To be fair, I think the main reason the church of latter-day saints has been so forgiving when it comes to Book of Mormon is because it could of been so, so much worse for them than it was.

Themed production gimmick: If you try to leave they'll force all your friends and relatives to disassociate themselves from you.
I have always hated eggs. I remember back when I was a sperm I tried to head-butt one. It did not end well.

All people in the dayseat line get a free stress test where personal information is secretly obtained and recorded in order to blackmail you into buying an ice cream and programme in the interval

There is a theatre on Broadway right opposite the Scientology Church, my friend and I were joking how awkward/hilarious it would be to open the show here - from Times Sq you would be able to see 'Book of Scientology' on the left side of the road and 'Church of Scientology' on the right directly opposite it :)
