Thanks for the clarification. This is quite amusing because my comment at the beginning was based on a review of it I read in a newspaper - they claimed it was the actors mimicing a pre-filmed performance and they commented on how stressful it must have been for them to match every single move so accurately - ha ha - I wish I could find it again ....

I disagree that "she is most at home on the continent" - that simply isn't true, look at her long long list of credits at the NT and Young Vic and elsewhere over the past decade, no director has supped so deeply at the public funding trough as she has. However, I'm sure that in her own mind she'd like to be a misunderstood outcast genius who only gets credit abroad (like Edward Bond).

With Say It With Flowers, what light did it shine on Stein (I'm unsure about Stein but have only read a few poems of hers), and what are her best pieces to read?
