I bought the Broadway cast recording (I think) - it was awful!

If this is the show I'm excited. I saw it on Broadway and loved it. It's like a clean BOM. Also in my opinion I like the mystery idea. I don't know why everyone is so down about it! Secret Cinema do the same thing all the time and that's so much fun trying to figure out. Anyway I've bought a ticket out of curiosity... And hoping that it is Urinetown! :)

Urinetown does intrige me, that's for sure. I have the cast album, but not sure I "got" it. How does the recording compare to the show?

I MUCH preferred the show. It was a while ago but I remember laughing a LOT. The policeman narrator and girl were hilarious. Haven't listened to the soundtrack in a while, I'll have to do dig it out and jog my memory.

I don't think there's much (any!) doubt that it is Urinetown:

UGC - Urine Good Company
Hope - in the teaser, and a character in the show
A rabbit - on the road in the teaser picture hinting at Don't Be The Bunny
Water tower picture!

I saw it in its Broadway version, and found it hilarious. Whether time will have been kind to it remains to be seen! Tickets bought.

Casting will be everything for this show. Obvious statement I guess but can we have some more Americans please to play Bobby Strong, Pennywise and some of the gang?

Are they seriously expecting people to pay £25 for a show when they don't even know what it is...?  (even though we now all do know!)

Just listening to the cast recording on spotify, it reminds me a little of Anyone Can Whistle.

I'm tempted, but it does seem silly to pay £25 for an as-yet unconfirmed show that isn't opening for another nine months.

The music is actually very Kurt Weill-ish.  The whole show is overtly Brechtian.
Excuse me if I seem jejune
I promise I'll find my marbles soon.
